Mr. Seamus Mannion
Seamus is founding Director and member of the Management Board of the CFRC since 2001. He has a Masters Degree from Glasgow University and is an Associate ofthe Institute of Health Services Management. From 1995 to 2004 he held the positionof Regional Manager for Community Services with the Western Health Board withresponsibility for the overall direction of community services including areassuch as child care and welfare, child health and child psychiatry. The HealthService Executive took over from the Health Boards in January 2005 and in September2005 Seamus took up a new position within the HSE. He is now working in the PrimaryCommunity & Continuing Care Directorate as National Care Group Manager forChildren, Adolescent and Family Services.
Prof. Chris Curtin
Chris is Professor of Political Science and Sociology at the National Universityof Ireland, Galway. He is author/editor of 9 books, over 70 articles/book chaptersand more than 20 national and international reports. Chris has carried out researchon themes of rural development and change, agrarian politics, co-operation andconflict and household and family structures. He has acted as an independentexpert for the European Union, the United States Department of Agriculture andmany third sector institutions. In addition to his work at the National Universityof Ireland, Galway he has taught at universities in the U.K., in mainland Europe,the United States and Africa.
Ms. Anna Lee
Anna trained as a social worker in the Universities of East Anglia and Birminghamin England. She has been Chairperson of the Combat Poverty Agency and a memberof the Government Task Force on ending long-term unemployment. Anna has beeninvolved in issues such as social housing, the campaign for the introductionof civil legal aid and the abolition of the status of illegitimacy. She has hadarticles published on community development and partnership.
Dr. Aisling Gillen
Aisling is the Regional General Manager for Childrens Services in the HealthService Executive North-Western Area. Aisling joined the Management Board inApril 2005.
