Dr. Carolyn Cutrona
- United States
Carolyn received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Universityof California, Los Angeles in 1981. She is currently a professor of psychologyat Iowa State University and Associate Director of the Institute for Social andBehavioural Research in Ames, Iowa, United States.

Prof. Marian Jacobs
-South Africa
Marian is Professor of Child Health at the University of Cape Town,South Africa, Director of the Children's Institute and is closely associatedwith the Child Health Policy Institute. She is a public health paediatricianwho has been active in research, teaching and service delivery in the child healthfield for many years. A strong advocate of human rights, especially children's,she has served on local and national policy bodies and organisations and wasadvisor to the South African government committee steering the implementationof the UN Convention on the Rights of the child and the National Programme ofAction for Children.

Mr. Peter Steen Jensen
-Denmark
Peter is head of the Department of Children and Young People in themunicipality of Odense, Denmark. He was formerly general inspector in the Danishdepartment of Education and before that he worked as a teacher.

Prof. Robyn Munford
-New Zealand
Robyn is Head of School, Sociology, Social Policy and Social Work, MasseyUniversity, Palmerston North, New Zealand. She has qualifications in both socialwork and sociology from Massey University and the University of Calgary, Alberta,Canada. She has lectured extensively at both undergraduate and postgraduate levelson community development, disability services and policy, generic social workpractice, feminism and social work, and qualitative research methods and evaluation.She has extensive experience in disability and family research.

Dr. John Pinkerton
-Northern Ireland
John is Professor of Child and Family Social Work at Queen's UniversityBelfast, Northern Ireland. He is involved with post professional qualificationtraining and research in the areas of family support and young people leavingstate care. He has carried out a range of project evaluations and policy appraisalsand has a particular interest in the process of relating research to policy andpractice development.

Dr. Jackie Oxman-Martinez
-Canada
Jacqueline has a Ph.D. in Sociology from University of Montréal (1986).She is currently a Research Associate at the Centre for Applied Family Studiesand a Professor at School of Social Work. Her research interests have focusedon family issues related to poverty, child abuse, neglect and child welfare formore than 15 years. Most recently, Dr Oxman-Martinez has concentrated her researchinterests on violence against children and women in ethno-cultural contexts andthe impacts of precarious immigration status on their health.
