Aileen Shaw joined the Child and Family Research Centre as the Manager of Strategic Development in 2007. She has extensive experience in fundraising and nonprofit management.
Prior to joining the CFRC in 2007, she spent six years as Director of Operations at Galway University Foundation. Within the philanthropic field, Aileen worked for five years as Research and Development Director at the National Network of Grantmakers in San Diego, California. While at NNG, Aileen directed research studies on Exemplary Practices in Foundations and Diversity in Philanthropy. Aileen has acted as a fundraising and communications consultant for several community-based, advocacy organisations in the US and Ireland.
She has a BA in History from Trinity College Dublin and an M.A. in Public History from New York University.
